Anthracite
Anthracite filter media is has been manufactured to an appropriately sized particle diameter using anthracite. As
a filter medium in the form of particles or powder, it is used for large-scale water treatment of water and
sewage. Carbon, the main component of anthracite, is suitable for use as a filter medium because it is more
resistant to corrosion of water and chemicals than other substances and has less contamination.
The long filtration duration saves maintenance costs and has a small specific gravity compared to sand, which makes it easy to separate
suspended substances when backwashing. Shinkwang Anthracite is a specially
treated filtration medium and has a long filtration passageway with a large surface area and adsorption
properties, so it is possible to separate very small particles contained in a solution, that is, colloids or
suspended particles.
